SPRINGING SNOWMAN

This snowy friend is hot on the trend of rusty bed springs! You will transform a rusty bed spring into a darling snowman by creating a head, hat and scarf. Embelishments with buttons and a carrotlike nose will be used to finish him off! Some basic sewing with needle and thread is required. Please bring a glue gun with glue sticks and 1/8 of a yard of polar fleece for the hat and scarf. All other supplies will be provided for a lab fee of $6.

Note: The final product may not be identicle to picture, scarf will be added along with a different type of hat.

PAINTED MASON JAR

Students will white wash and paint lavender on a mason jar.  Use your hand painted creation as a flower vase, a candle holder or brighten up your office with a darling pen holder.  Bring a $10 lab fee to be paid to the instructor which will cover the jar and paints. Everyone welcome and the brushes are provided.

Pom Poms are so popular these days. They are not just for the tops of hats anymore! Once you learn to make Pom Poms you can make wreaths, darling animals, key chains with school colors, Christmas trees, snowmen and much more. In this class we will focus on making garland and/or Christmas ornaments. Each participant will receive 2 Pom Pom makers; 1 medium, 1 large. Please bring your favorite scissors and yarn. Yarn weight bulky size 5 or 6 makes for fuller pom poms. Feel free to bring more than one color yarn. Lab fee of $7 for the cost of the Pom Pom maker.

NOTE: THERE HAVE BEEN DATE CHANGES TO THIS CLASS. THE NEW DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:  NOV 21ST, DEC 5TH, DEC 12TH & DEC 19TH. (No Class on November 28th due to Thanksgiving).

To begin a Swedish weave project, all you need is yarn, weaving needle, a pattern and monk’s cloth. That's it! It is so easy to learn and simple to do which makes it the best needlecraft ever! Students will create a holiday themed table runner approximately 60 L x 22 W. Bring a $17 lab fee to be paid to instructor to cover materials. Weaving needles will be supplied and available to purchase for an additional fee if desired.  LIMIT 10

OPEN SEWING LAB

Do you have a sewing dilemma? Do you need a little help solving a problem so you can complete your project? Then gather up a few of your UFOs (unfinished objects) and bring them to open lab time! Topics covered include pattern alterations and layout, clothing care and repair (buttons, hems, zipper replacement, etc.), basic quilting, and craft sewing. Students will receive a folder of sewing information and machine bobbins. Machines are available for your use.  Bring a $5 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.  (Ages 10 and older) LIMIT 8                                                                                                                                                

VINTAGE GIFT TAGS

Using a variety of media you will create vintage gift tags just in time for the holidays. The only limit is your imagination! Bring a $2 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.

SANTA CHARGER PLATE PAINTING

Calendar Dec 4, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 2 weeks

Cookies left out for Santa will make him smile when he sees this beautiful plate with his potrait on it! During this two week session participants will learn to paint the face of Santa. Using a basic pattern students will transfer the image on the charger and be instucted step by step how to bring this image to life. This class is for those who have painted before. If you have brushes please bring them and a $6 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.

NOTE: picture shown is a retail product used for example only and NOT the final hand painted craft students will produce in class.
