Calendar Nov 12, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 4 weeks

If you enjoy Swedish Weaving then you will appreciate the advanced class. The instructor will choose a pattern and you will create a blanket of your very own.  Bring a $25 lab fee to be paid to instructor to cover materials. Weaving needles will be supplied and available to purchase for an additional fee if desired.  LIMIT 10

Using a book, metric ruler, pencil, and pattern you will create a design on the edge of a book by measuring, marking and folding. You will learn the basic technique and see some advanced versions as well. Bring a $1 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.

Turn sticks and yarn into a beautiful God's eye you could display in many ways. You will learn advanced techniques, variations on the basic shape and possible ways of displaying your art work

Bring a $5 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.

Calendar Oct 29, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 3 weeks

This class will build on the skills taught in basic sewing by covering simple zipper installation, patchwork piecing, stitch-in-the-ditch quilting, bias tape application, decorative stitching and buttonhole sewing.  Student will receive a folder of intermediate sewing information, project materials and machine bobbins.  Each student will sew a zippered pouch, a placemat and a drawstring bag. An additional project of instructor's choice may be provided if time permits.  Machines are available for your use.  Please bring a basic sewing kit to class that includes sharp scissors, straight pins, safety pins, a seam ripper, a small ruler and white thread.  Bring a $15 lab fee to be paid to the instructor LIMIT 8 (Ages 10 years and older)

Bring the beauty of outdoors inside with this moss garden wall art. No need to water this garden! Using hot glue and your imagination participants will use moss, bark and wood to design their own wall moss garden. (Approximate size 12” x 12”) Please bring a glue gun, glue sticks and any desired artificial succulant to class along with a $15 lab fee to be paid to instructor.

Calendar Nov 26, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 3 weeks

Do you have a sewing dilemma? Do you need a little help solving a problem so you can complete your project? Then gather up a few of your UFOs (unfinished objects) and bring them to open lab time! Topics covered include pattern alterations and layout, clothing care and repair (buttons, hems, zipper replacement, etc.), basic quilting, and craft sewing. Students will receive a folder of sewing information and machine bobbins. Machines are available for your use.  Bring a $5 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.  (Ages 10 and older) LIMIT 8

Students will white wash and paint lavender on a mason jar.  Use your hand painted creation as a flower vase, a candle holder or brighten up your office with a darling pen holder.  Bring a $10 lab fee to be paid to the instructor which will cover the jar and paints. Everyone welcome and the brushes are provided.

Pom Poms are so popular these days. They are not just for the tops of hats anymore! Once you learn to make Pom Poms you can make wreaths, darling animals, key chains with school colors, Christmas trees, snowmen and much more. In this class we will focus on making garland and/or Christmas ornaments. Each participant will receive 2 Pom Pom makers; 1 medium, 1 large. Please bring your favorite scissors and yarn. Yarn weight bulky size 5 or 6 makes for fuller pom poms. Feel free to bring more than one color yarn. Lab fee of $7 for the cost of the Pom Pom maker.
