Monroe Youth Wrestling Club

Register today for Monroe's premiere wrestling club! For beginners, we work on fundamentals. Advanced wrestlers focus on technique, strength, conditioning, & personal development. Our club will teach your athlete hard work, dicipline, and many life lessons. This co-ed club is for 5th grade & under (7 & under MUST have a parent present). MYWAY membership is NOT required for the County Program (which would have additional fees). Practices are M-Th (Beginners 5:30-6:30 / Advanced 6:30-8)

PUPPY TRAINING/GOOD MANNERS - (Winter)

The AKC S.T.A.R.™ Puppy Program rewards responsible owners who take the time to train and socialize their new puppies. This program is the puppy level of the AKC’s well-known Canine Good Citizen® program. “S.T.A.R.” stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and a Responsible owner, all of the things a puppy needs to have a good life. This class is for any puppy, breed or mix under 12 months. Please bring health records with puppy on a 6-foot lead to first class. Retractable leads not allowed. (No class 2/17)

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN/THERAPY DOG PREP - (Winter)

NOTE: You pay $130 per dog only, additional family members can attend free.

The AKC Canine Good Citizen test is the foundation for therapy dog training. This class is based on teaching and training dogs with their handlers through positive reinforcement. We will prepare for evaluation and assessment for therapy dog work. Please bring health records and your pet on a 6-foot lead to class. The evaluation and certification for the AKC title will be a separate fee. Retractable leads not allowed. (No Class 2/17)

FOAM WIND CHIME - (Winter)

Let's catch the breeze and make a pinwheel that will twirl in the wind. Learn to use fishing weights, fishing line, beads, and foam to put the pinwheels together. All supplies will be provided. Bring a $10 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.

KIDS JIU JITSU - (February)

All kids are welcome to Monroe Jiu Jitsu to learn tips, techniques, & strategies to help them become stronger, more confident, and to better their ability to stick up for themselves if needed. From the beginner to the advanced - all kids (ages 10 & up) are welcome to join. No uniform is required, but once you start training consistently, purchasing a Gi is recommended.

Swimmers will be taught streamline, kicking, & introcuded to freestyle, & backstroke.

SWIMMING 2: STROKE TECHNIQUES OF COMPETITIVE SWIMMING - (Winter)

with Lifeguards/ Varsity Athletes

Calendar Feb 3, 2025 at 5:45 pm, runs for 4 weeks

Swimmers will be taught start & turn progressions, stroke drills, & introduced to butterflu & breaststroke.

No Class 2/17
