July 28- Aug 1 (K-3rd) Advanced SURVIVORKIDS full day

K-3rd grade for the 2025-2026 school year
8:30am - 3:30pm
If you have attended a previous SurvivorKids Camp (including this year), this is the camp for you! The first half of the day, campers will continue to develop their boating, fishing, archery and survival skills, adding in fire-building, water filtration, orienteering, and more! The other half, they will be with a certified teacher engaging in summer learning enhancement activities. Campers will receive a water bottle and camp shirt. Breakfast and Lunch included.

Campers will receive a water bottle and camp shirt as well as Lunch daily.
Jr Trojans Cheer

Our Jr. Trojans Cheer program for grades 3rd-6th is designed to introduce young athletes to the exciting world of cheerleading while focusing on building strength, flexibility, and teamwork. This program emphasizes basic cheer skills such as cheers, chants, and jumps, along with developing confidence and leadership qualities. Participants will learn to work as a team, improve coordination, and perform in a positive and supportive environment. Whether they’re new to cheer or looking to improve, this program offers a welcoming and encouraging space for all young cheerleaders!
Practices will begin Mid-August. Informational Meeting info COMING SOON!
You will also need to purchase a uniform, bow, poms, & sweatshirt. We will be using the same as last season
Jr Trojans Tackle Football
with Josh Jones

Grades 3-6 - .Visit the Community Education office to get fitted for a jersey. You can modify sizing after registration by contacting the Community Ed office (dowen@monroe.k12.mi.us).Costs cover jersey, use of helmet & pads, & operational costs (field rental fees, refs, replacement equipment, etc.) MHSAA Physical required for first practice, mouthguards required. Program is supported by Monroe First Downers. Optional Conditioning: Wk of Aug 4, practices begin wk of Aug 11th. Season ends late October. Practices will be held at Arborwood South, games various locations.

PRIVATE PIANO - (Fall)

Classes are 1 hour sessions (day/times vary) $25/lesson
This one hour of private instruction time will teach you the basics of reading and playing music. Books and materials may be purchased from the instructor ($20). Classes are scheduled on the hour. The instructor will call and set up a day and time. Ages 8 and older.
DRUM LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS - Private - (Fall)
with Curt Clawson

Classes are 1/2 hour lessons (day/times vary) $30/lesson for 6 weeks
Learn the fundamentals of playing drums in the style of your choice; be it rock, blues, country or jazz. In addition to learning basic drumbeats and fills, the student will also learn to read notation and be taught to recognize and play different types of counts. An excellent class that you will really enjoy! Come and give that rock star inside of you a chance to shine!
KIDS JIU JITSU - (monthly classes available)

Monday & Wednesday 4:45-5:15pm
$110 Per Month
All kids are welcome to Monroe Jiu Jitsu to learn tips, techniques, & strategies to help them become stronger, more confident, and to better their ability to stick up for themselves if needed. From the beginner to the advanced - all kids (ages 10 & up) are welcome to join. No uniform is required, but once you start training consistently, purchasing a Gi is recommended.

WOMENS SELF DEFENSE - (monthly classes available)

Ladies, join us at Monroe Jiu Jitsu to learn tips, techniques, and strategies to help you become safer if you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation. During each hour class, the instructor will cover basic information that will assist you in many self-defense scenarios. From beginner to the advanced, all women (ages 12 & up) are welcome to join. No uniform required, but once you start training consistently, purchasing a Gi is recommended.
