Let's dive into the world of crochet! Bring in an "I" Hook along with a 4-weight cotton yarn. (Both can be purchased at Knit-Picky & Hooked).  We will start with the basics and work at each person's own pace!

To begin a Swedish weave project, all you need is yarn, weaving needle, a pattern and monk’s cloth. That is, it! It is so easy to learn and simple to do which makes it the best needlecraft ever! Students will create a table runner approximately 60 L x 22 W. Bring a $17 lab fee to be paid to instructor to cover materials. Weaving needles will be supplied and available to purchase for an additional fee if desired.

This free informational session explains the ABC’s regarding your rights and options with Medicare. We will add more detailed information on prescription medications for Medicare Seniors. This class is not affiliated with CMS or the federal government and is run by a non-profit agency called Sociably Secure.  NOTE: This will be taught on-line only, a link will be emailed to all students prior to the start date which will allow you access to the class.

Learn Watercolor techniques to paint the background for a craft project. The art of rolling strips of paper makes a 3D cherry blossom tree. All materials will be provided.  This class is for ages 10 years old and up. Please bring a $5 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.

Swimmers will be divided into groups based on their experience - bubble blowers & advanced. This will be determined on the first day of class.  Bubble blowers will learn floating, bubbles, bobs, kicking, & streamline. Advanced swimmers will learn freestyle & backstroke fundamentals. They will also begin learning starts & turns. (Ages 4 & up)

Now that you have learned the 2 stitches needed for knitting a piece, let’s go farther.  Learn how to make cables, abbreviations used in patterns, special stitches and more.  Bring your yarn and needles (any size) and we will make swatches.

This class is offered to students 15 years and older. It uses finishing nails and a piece of wood to make a cut flower design. Then you will use string to wrap around and cross the nails to fill the design. Please bring a hammer and a $10 lab fee to be paid to the instructor.
