KNITTING-BEGINNING

Let’s have fun knitting! With only two stitches to learn, you will be knitting dishcloths and scarves that you see at craft shows. You will also learn how to read and follow a knitting pattern. Bring a pair of size US 8 and/or US 9 knitting needles (10 inch in length) and several balls of any color “Lily Sugar-n- Cream” yarn to the first class. Ad­ditional yarn and materials that will be needed will be discussed in class. All instructions and patterns are written for right hand knitting. LIMIT 10

WATER AEROBICS -Tuesdays & Thursdays - Fall

Starts: September 22 & 24    6:30 – 7:30pm  $100

This is a great one-hour workout! Concentrating on muscle toning, core strength/balance and cardio. Be prepared to sweat. Working out in a pool adds resistance while you are toning and developing cardiorespiratory fitness. Please bring an exercise band to class along with a sense of humor. Foam hand weights are optional. Ages 16 and older.

FLAG FOOTBALL (Co-Ed) Y5's - 3rd Grades

Note: Practices / Games will be on Sundays - approximately a 1 hour practice with a scrimmage game immediately following.  

Cost: $50 Includes T-Shirt, flag belt, & flags to keep.  A mouth guard and Soccer cleats with rubber nubs on soles are required.

The Monroe Swim Club Lessons Program is designed to build skills step by step. By allowing students to master one skill before moving on to the next, our swimming lessons help kids gain confidence in the water with every lesson. Instructors will place kids in 3 groups, each based on their ability. This learn to swim program is for children ages 4 & up. Space is limited, as we keep groups small. Instructors are certified and a lifeguard is on duty. Ages 4+

Let's dive into the world of crochet! Bring in an "I" Hook along with a 4-weight acrylic yarn. (Both can be purchased at Knit-Picky & Hooked).    We will start with the basics and work at each person's own pace!

PUPPY TRAINING/GOOD MANNERS - Fall

The AKC S.T.A.R.™ Puppy Program rewards responsible owners who take the time to train and socialize their new puppies. This program is the puppy level of the AKC’s well-known Canine Good Citizen® program. “S.T.A.R.” stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and a Responsible owner, all of the things a puppy needs to have a good life. This class is for any puppy, breed or mix under 7 months. Please bring health records with puppy on a 6-foot lead to first class. Retractable leads not allowed.

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN/THERAPY DOG PREP - Fall

NOTE: You pay $130 per dog only, additional family members can attend free.

The AKC Canine Good Citizen test is the foundation for therapy dog training. This class is based on teaching and training dogs with their handlers through positive reinforcement. We will prepare for evaluation and assessment for therapy dog work. Please bring health records and your pet on a 6-foot lead to class. The evaluation and certification for the AKC title will be a separate fee. Retractable leads not allowed.
